OSCILLATING KNIFE CUT
An additional feature of our machining centers is an electric oscillating cutter. This is another innovative solution that makes it possible to cut parts from soft and medium-hard materials, such as rubber, in a highly efficient manner. The oscillating cutter that our machining center is equipped with has high power due to the use of two servo drives . One servo drive is used to set the oscillation , the other to set the angle of the knife. Such a solution allows us to cut any elements in CNC technology not only from soft materials such as fabric, foam, cardboard, but also from harder materials such as rubber , reinforced rubber, etc. The large working area (4100mm/ 2100mm/300mm ) of our CNC cutter allows us to cut components directly from a beam ( roll ) of material, which significantly shortens the production process and reduces production costs. Materials from which we can cut components are various types of fabrics, foams, rubbers ( reinforced rubber ), cardboard , various types of foils ( including graphite foils ) , composites etc.
The technology of cutting with an oscillating knife makes it possible to cut various types of gaskets, advertising elements, foam forms, components for production of footwear and clothing, etc. The oscillating cutter is also equipped with a creasing head, which allows short-run production of various types of cardboard packaging.
The oscillating knife greatly expands the production capacity of our machining center. The knife works in CNC technology in parallel with the milling spindle, which allows us to cut components with the milling cutter and then cut the final layer with the oscillating knife. Such a solution allows us to make a component with the desired cutting edge.
